I have been wondering what kind of tire life I should expect on the run flats that will come with my C7 with Z51 package. I've had 5.0's before and have never been one to put on a smoke show but I will on occasion test the corvettes power. Am I looking at 20,000 miles? And is their a performing alternate I may want to investigate for my second set?
Michelin warranties their 300 treadware super sports for 30K, so 20K is more than reasonable for a modestly driven street car.
I have a set of 300 treadwear super sports on my B5, they've still got a long ways to go even with 12K and and a few autocross days on them.
so far as an alternative, that depends on what you're looking for. Super sports are not that old of a tire, are widely praised as a very grippy tire with excellent life and rain weather capabilities, and assuming you're putting 10-15K annually on them you're talking about predicting what products might come out in the next 2-3 years.

The warranty is only half that for staggered fitments. However, I think if you are probably close at 20k for a car that is driven not too hard. I could never get 20 out of PSS on my C63 but I'm not a moderate driver.

Even on my 2 CTS-V's, the PS/2's(which are similar) seemed to be holding up nicely with 10K on them.
This car is pretty close to 50/50 weight distribution, even though you're not rotating them, accelerated wear isn't going to be greatly exaggerated unless of course, burnouts are involved as mentioned.

A lot depends on how hard you drive the car. 20,000 should be possible for many owners, while I guess some will get only half that.
On my C6, I got 8,000 on the front tires and about 10,000 on the rear. Goodyear said it was all the city driving, turning often, etc. No high performance driving at all ... my average speed over 3 years was 25.3 mph. I'm not expecting the C7 tires to do any better.
Drive it like a normal street car with proper street alignment and 20,000 miles should be no problem. I get/got well over 30,000 on Goodyears and Firestones on my C5 and C6. In-fact I replaced them for noise well before the tread was gone. Take it to a road-race course and that will drop to about 500 miles or less.
Any time your tires spend sliding or spinning will reduce the life. On the staggered Corvette setup where rotation is not possible alignment is also critical to long tire wear life.
