Default First Timers Question

I've always liked Corvettes....I guess just not enough to consider seriously....until the C7. But I've driven a number of friend's Corvettes (not C7) - and they've always been fast and fun! But the one thing I always noticed (and I'll probably get flamed here) was they felt heavy and the front end seemed to stretch out SO far.
So for the new owners - has this been an issue for you? The new Stingray may be different - I don't know. But I've seen on other forums mentioned occasionally. So lucky new owners - has it been an adjustment??

With the electronic steering and the driver mode control switch, the steering feel can be changed by turning the dial. In Tour mode, I find it too light at highway speed, but OK around town. On the highway, I prefer Sport or Track.

Handling is phenomenal. I have the Z51 and Magnetic Selective Ride Control.

Yep, the front end is long, but so was my C5 and my C6. You get used to it.

After owning 2 C6's I have noticed that I see a LOT more road down at the front of the car in my C7 than I did in the C6's. The "concaved" hood makes the front of the car seem scary short to me. I have to pay attention when I park at a curb so I don't run up on the curb. Seems like I can see the road right in front of the car. It is a great feel when driving too. The car seems extremely well balanced and I have driven through a harsh winter where up until a week ago we had only had 17 days over 32 degrees so the hard tires don't do it justice. The car takes corners on a dime at decent speeds. Everyone compliments it for seeming like it just sucks down to the road. I miss my last C6 daily and wish I could have kept it and got the C7 but momma wouldn't go for that but it was not even in the same ballpark as for overall feel, ride and handling to me.

The C7 feels (and is) subjectively lighter than my M3 felt. It feels light to me.

I haven't noticed the front end feeling long.

The steering feels light to me but when I'm in Sport Mode at highway speeds it feels just right!

First time Corvette Owner. The steering and ride feel great to me, but the blind spots and the length of the hood will take some getting used to. I'm a nervous wreck parking it.

Car feels MUCH more rigid than my 12 C6 and does not feel long to me, my crewcab Tundra feels long and that might be why the c7 feels like any normal car lengthwise.
This car does not feel "heavy" at all and it may have a lot to do with the frame rigidity. Those of us with mag ride can change steering response and ride firmnes with the twist o a **** as with mag ride from previous years which you may have operated before.
It feels like a very responsive and potent car power wise too, if you dont pay close attention you run up to 85 without even knowing it.

I traded my crew cab Tundra and C6 for my C7 and I feel like I am in a microcar compared to the Tundra!
