Apple Carplay for C7

I hope it is compatible with the current infotainment system.
Anyone know if it will be?

This "should be" available via a new software load on current infotainment systems. But who knows with - they may try to make a "New Feature" to dive new sales of incremental cars. I sure hope not - that is a tired old approach.
The world has moved and I hope Chevy does as well. If you are a Chevy Customer, your electronics should be kept up to date to the degree the hardware will support it. Similar to Apple's approach to the iOS.

Looking at the Mylink developer site it appears that the support for apps on the Corvette won't start until the 2015 has LTE + the App Shop. It looks for now like the 2014 cars won't get the App Shop or the ability to add apps.
If they aren't going to do that I would doubt the update to support CarPlay would be retroactively supported. CarPlay has been a pretty involved project that Apple has launched. I would also suspect the performance of the current system may not be up to the task based on the complaints people have about the response time of the UI on the installed MyLink system today.

Unlikely from my reading between the lines.

2020 C8 of the Year Finalist - Unmodified
Going into the new Ferrari's next year.
It's somewhat similar to what they have now only better. This way is more integrated into your phone.

It will happen but chev has to find out done way to get back some of the nav option money they now charge, it's a big profit center for them. All mfrs are struggling with this.
