Overall...NOT impressed with Ballweg Chevrolet.[/QUOTE]

This is very interesting Leadville1. They are one of the dealers that I first contacted for my Stingray order as I purchased my 2012 GS from them in Jan, 2013 and had a good working relationship with them. What surprised me this time around was that they were still demanding full MSRP while all the other dealers I contacted in WI were willing to discount. I stopped in there 2 weeks ago to check out a color combination they had in stock and without telling them that I had already placed an order elsewhere they still were not willing to deal, even though they had a bunch of them in their inventory.

Hey Leadville1,

I apologize that you have been experiencing frustrations after ordering, however, I’d be more than happy to try and assist you. If you would like me to look into this further for you please private message me your contact information, order number, and the dealership location. Below is a cut and paste from another thread about how allocation works...I just get tired of typing this over and over....

<<I dicked around for almost a month with small local dealer. I cancelled and went with MacMulkin. Trust me, do not waste your time with the average dealer. They will tell you they have allocations...and they likely do. But the number of allocations is so small that they will not be able to get you what you want....in this case Z51. Dealers like MacMulkin are filling about 25 orders PER WEEK. And about 50% will be Z51. So they will be able to get your order accepted on the next go around......definitely by next week. My order went straight to 2000 (order accepted by GM) on the same day I ordered.
Your smaller dealer might have something like 10 allocations for this build cycle(build cycle is about 3-4 months). GM comes to them every week and tells THEM what they will build for them...not the other way around. And there may not even be a corvette in the pile...and of so...it probably won't be a Z51. And you will play that game week after week after week. I don't care if your brother owns the damn dealership!!! He cannot force the hand of GM!

GO TO A HIGH VOLUME FORUM DEALER!!! I would recommend Tommy Jr. At MacMulkin but all of the forum dealers have excellent reputations!! Then you just have your car courtesy delivered to a dealer near you. Tommy will do all the leg work for you ref the courtesy delivery.>>

They will very likely be able to get you are car at the old MSRP...I don't know that for a fact. But Rick Conti at Coughlin was still claiming he could do that as of yesterday. Cancel your order and GET WITH IT!!!!

I have already reached out to the dealer, they don't seem to know whether I am price protected or not, they haven't been able to tell me for three days now, and the only updates I have received on my order status is from you. I spoke with the Sales Manager today and they seemed to be totally unaware of what the implications of the price increase are. But they also are unwilling to say you have a signed contract that expressly says the dealer can't raise the price. The ball is in their court. My patience has run out, then I will take my business to another dealer or back to BMW for a new M3. For my first GM purchase I am not impressed at all. Great car but not a great buying experience.

If I leave then I'll lose my $2,000 deposit and I was able to lock in the price before the increase. So unless they'll give me the old price plus a $2,000 markdown I will have to wait. I was told June.

I went in and met with them today, they were very good about showing me my place in their allocation allotment. I am two away from going to 2000 and they are getting a fair amount of Z51 allocations.

Still don't understand why they didn't know I was price protected with my order. None the less I am sticking it out, looks to be a May delivery for me.

Just make sure you know what you are doing. There are MANY states that do not allow "non-refundable" deposits. There is a very good chance you can get your deposit back. Regardless, of you are dealing with decent people, they should give it back to you anyway. I do understand the logic behind a deposit....but of they cannot produce results, then they should cough it up!!!

With all due respect....that is a very ignorant statement. You have no clue when GM will pick up your order. The fact that you have been waiting THIS long does not bode well. If you can get out of there, DO IT!!!...and order with a forum dealer.

I have been waiting 5 weeks and moved from 7 to next in line for a Z51, I don't think that is an ignorant statement or decision. At this point I would probably wait longer at a forum dealer.

Sorry dude. My bad. I thought you were the OP that has Been waiting since October. Good luck!!!

And for anyone reading this, a high volume forum dealer will have your order picked up by GM(2000) within a week...just a matter of when you order and how it coincides with the day of the week orders are picked up. In my case, I ordered on the day orders are picked up....so I went from 1100 to 2000 in the same day. Good luck y'all!!!

That's assuming there really is a "next in line" and you're 'really it'.

Good luck on getting it done. If you sniff any issue, a forum dealer can have you 3000 in just over a week...call and ask one.

I ordered here in FdL but I think they are out of allocations now.
Check out the Chev dealer in Kewaunee. Ask for Pete. I know they have quite a few allocations left but probably at the new prices, although he usually has several in stock or on order. Mention my name.

You have been at 1100 since October??? You are buying your corvette from the WRONG DEALER!!!! Since october I have ordered and delivered 19 new stingrays (have delivered over 40 total) If you want a car I can get you one and get it to you fast. I have a black 2LT coupe (non z51) and a white convertible 3LT (non z51) ready for immediate delivery?

What options are you looking for?

What does the collective wisdom offer here?

That would require them calling you back. I called three of Forum dealers on Friday and nobody called me back.

I also got some extras in my deal thrown in and some installation labor of parts.

Need a car in order for that to mean anything

Seriously, I know the forum dealers are always busy (especially now). Try emailing Dave at Kerbeck (he's pretty quick to get back) and TommyJR at McMulkin (Tommy is busy as he's the owner).

Let us know what you hear...
