My car was bayed also. When I picked it up it had 26 miles on it. I found out that they randomly pick cars for a thorough quality check. Of course mine was picked. Maybe this is what happened to yours. I have not had any issues with my car.

Who told you that? The dealer? I wouldn't be surprised if it was the dealer who did the "quality check."

From my understanding, 4000 is "ready to ship" and I would think 4B00 would be an event after that like waiting to be loaded on a truck for delivery.

Chevrolet Customer Service told me what was going on with my car when I called them back in Sept. and asked them what 4b00 meant.

That is true. During my NCM Delivery Factory Tour, I was told that everyday one car is randomly chosen from the lot and is given a test drive/quality check.
