I wonder why GM didn't put fog lights as an option on the C7

Had HID driving lights on my C6 and I have to say the C7 doesn't need 'em with its headlights

I think fog lights are once again being phased out.

Most tracks are closed if it is foggy.

The factory fog lights on our Suburban are virtually worthless.

This same subject was discussed a couple of years ago over on the Jaguar forum when the XK dropped its standard foglights. Bottom line: A number of manufacturers have decided that if a vehicle has HIDs, there is no need for fog lights....

Fog lights are useful if they are mounted close to the pavement. Corvettes meet this requirement. Fog lights are most useful if they are amber. Vettes with oem white fog lights miss this important feature. White lights blind your vision in REAL fog - which we seldom see in the US. (Three years fog driving experience in the UK is like no other)!
I will be surprise to see if GM ever uses amber fog lights on Vettes.

Fog Lights.
We really need it usually in fog almost main tracks are closed. Fog lights can help us in this problem. I like this creative idea.

I wondered this, too. I've used my fog lights on all my C6's numerous times. Louisiana and south Alabama almost require fog lights at times.

I used my "fog" lights all the time in my C6 - I replaced them with HIDs and they were VERY helpful. We get quite a bit of fog here as well.
The C7 however, has much better standard headlights than the C6 did - they lay down quite a low and wide pattern.
I see absolutely no need to add fog (or driving) lights in my C7

Most of the time just extra lighting. Some drivers hate them, could blind on coming traffic. I personally will not miss them.

Saw a video with Tadge and someone asked him about that. His reply was with the light setup they were not needed.
