Default My New C7

My game plan had been to wait until summer and see what dealers were offering as I had been torn anyway between another black vette or the complete opposite a white one, which I think is a very sharp looking car and shows the line very well, but when the price increase was announced I got in gear and started searching for my car.

Last Nov I was in Kansas City and stopped by a supporting forum vender KCCorvette. For a first look at the C7. Joe was extremely helpful and no pressure guy that just talked about vettes. So last week I started with him. He had a Black base 3Lt 7 speed with exhaust. We emailed a few times, talked on the phone. Deal was made. And I drove up to get it on Friday afternoon. I want to say Joe is a great guy and went out of his way to get me discounts. If anyone is looking to buy give Joe a call. He has a 3LT TR z51 ready to go, it was sweet.

A little about my vette history.
When I was in my 20’s I had a 78 that I loved, Hot to drive, and rode like a hay wagon, but was just a cool car. I then bought a 94 6 speed, I loved that car, drove it every day no matter the weather. Great car, only thing I remember doing to it was an optispark. Then I bought a 99 6 speed vert. triple black. This one I didn’t drive that much and sold the car in 2012 with 70K miles on it. Nice car, normal problems I changed the balancer, new AC, crankshaft sensor. Just small stuff. Great car and drove nice. So all in total I have had a C3, C4, C5 and now a C7.

Now onto the C7.. all I can say is Holy Smoke… this car is mind blowing. The interior is incredible, and I love looking out over the hood the fenders remind me of a C3, shifting the 7 speed is effortless, clutch feel is great. I never one time had the 1-4 shift light come on, maybe because I love hearing the exhaust. I cannot even comment on all the things this car does right. I was nervous to drive it through KC on a Friday night with traffic, but after about a mile in the car, it is just so easy to drive. In fact I cannot even think of one thing to pick on about this car. A truly amazing machine.

Short story is I had a neighbor who parked his rust bucket in front of my house, meanwhile he would plant flowers and landscape his.. Some people.. My family got tired of hearing me complain about it so they bought me the sign.

I have the same round Corvette tin sign hanging in my garage in the same location on the wall and the same color and style garage flooring. I do not have an a$$hole neighbor though and my C7, which will be built in 2 weeks, will be Red.

Nice Car and garage looks great too. Please make sure that ladder is secure. That would not be good if it fell.

Congrats on your vette coming in, You will love it. Z51 or Base? I was torn but went with the base as I will never track the car, wanted mag ride, but I am very impressed on how the base rides and handles.

I know what you mean, I have the in-laws staying for a week, so I won't be able to play with the car for awhile, not to mention there is still a lot of sand and salt on the roads, we need a good rain to clean it all up

I have however linked my garage door, setup Bluetooth and Pandora. Took the top off and then put it back on.. The garage makes a great get-away when you need a break.
