Okay, was at dealership today for the fuel pump on my daughter's Cobalt. They have a C7 and it wouldn't start. So they pulled out the jumper box. We all know the battery is in the back, but thought there were posts under the hood to jump start it from? We looked every where, and couldn't find them.
So the question is, if the C7 has them, where the heck are they? Can anyone post a pic?
Makes no sense to try and jump it under the hood. Go to the battery in the back.
Generally, jumping starting is bad practice anyway. A nice, slow charge is better for the battery and electrical systems. If also a good idea to determine if the battery shorted out internally and should be replaced.
Jump starting was OK back before cars had expensive computers.

Well, like I said, they used a jumper box. I was just surprise there wasn't posts (or we couldn't find them) under the hood. Even my daughter's Cobalt and I believe, the C6 Grand Sport, Z06, and ZR1 have them.
So the dealership mechanics couldn't find where to jump start the C7?
And you're having them work on your daughters fuel pump?
Step away, step far away from them...(and let another dealer install the Cobalt's ignition lock when it ever comes in...)

No, the dealership SALES PEOPLE didn't know where the under hood posts where (so they jumped from the battery), and I didn't really figure they would anyway. What got me was I COULDN'T find them, and I was almost certain they were there. Now I know it was because it was covered.............and I even looked near the fuse box as that's where I figured it was.
As far as the service dept., I've been going there for sometime, they've always been good to me, and I've only had one issue, and that was on my Avalanche. Cobalt was repaired at no charge.......ignition repair isn't due in till April.
