You can buy 1 kit for $80, or less with coupons from autogeek. It goes a long way. 1 is enough to do the C7 twice, and some left over. This is the regular opti coat 2.0, which is the consumer version. Opti Coat pro is available only through professional detailers and will cost more.
"People don't say" to do it, one guy brought it up, and a few detailers who want to convince you that it's necessary....
Seriously, this is nice if you are OCD, but any sealant from zaino, blackfire or others will work fine too....I agree with the above if you must, get the consumer version of OC, before you give a detailer hundreds to do it with some better stuff that is really overkill.
Collonite 845 is almost indestructible and a lot cheaper.....
Collinite is good stuff, I have used their carnuba fleetwax on my boats for years, also on my oil based paints on my cars and trucks. I was not aware of or used their 845. I will check it out as I am a big fan of their products.
I'll put this here as it's an opticoat thread, there is nothing better for the wheels and calipers than OPTI coat 2.0 here's my procedure:
1. wash wheels with dawn, spray down and scrub with iron-x to remove iron dust.
2. Dry and spray down with 50/50 alcohol/water to get virgin surface
3. Wipe on OPTI coat with optimum dense sponge- does not absorb product
4.wait 30 min and wipe down with suade microfiber, not reg MF, smooths and sprads the OC
Now 95 pct of brake dust flies off....
Iron x is neat stuff- it's clear , but where it finds iron debris, it turns purple, hoses off:
As I understand it you are not supposed to put anything on Xpel except what the recommend as Xpel is porous and has to breathe. As far as the rest of the car use a good Carnuba wax and forget sealants.

Not correct...see the xpel faq's on their site.......and carnauba washes away, and why not too many use it anymore except for shows.....
Well I got the full version.. It looks great.. you cant tell its there unless you are REALLY REALLY looking.. too early to tell but if I had to answer...YES
