Does the C7 have the ability to compose your own welcome message on the dash like the C6? That was always kind of fun!
Yes it does have that capability. I bought my 2017 GS and it says Dante's Grand Sport. Dante is the guy who bought this car new. I've asked the dealer and they so far have not found out how to update/change this. But there has to be a way as it was done at least once on my car.
To bad, my C6 dash cluster always informed me that I was singularly the greatest human being on earth and how it was a privilege to have me guiding her well lubricated chassis through the great highways of life...

This is the first I've heard of it being done. I wonder if it's new (ish) or has always been possible (from earlier MYs)?
Your car's former owner dropped the ball, however. It should have read "Dante's Inferno."

Sorry for taking so long to respond, I've been out of the country. Here's a video of the startup process. It seems its a message when connecting to WiFi so its not exactly a welcome message. Still I have not been able to figure out how to change that. I couldn't figure out how to import a video but here's a screenshot.

I think that just means the WI Fi network has been renamed as "Dante's Grand Sport"
I'm not sure if you can create a welcome message,...…….But I know for a fact you can edit the preset radio buttons to say anything you want to. (as long as it fits in the button script). BTW I think the Dante message you are seeing is the name of the previous owners' device. In other words the nickname he gave his phone!
