I'm with you. I bought a Cyber Gray soon to be built. I like low key (I thought I was the only one) but love the design of the car. I don't need the attention but it looks like I'll still have to deal with it. Congrats.

Random observations: I fit in it just fine. 6'4", 245 lbs. My left leg has more room, it seems they relocated/moved back the left dead pedal. The shifter is in a perfect place, my hand just falls to it. Maybe the fit is better because the c6 was a 1lt also and did not have telescoping wheel as the c7 does.

Content on the c7 1lt seems much higher than the c6 1lt, i.e., power passenger seat, telescopic wheel, more info/toys on dash. Not to mention the tighter feel of the steering, improved mpg and more power, etc., all for about what I paid for 5 years ago when I bought the c6 new.

Of course they wanted $10,000 over the msrp with dest of $54,785. 2 options are chrome wheels and nav. Took forever to get them at $700 over msrp. At this stage of the game that was the best I could do for this area and surrounding inventory. Most dealerships have the c7's loaded at 50% more money. It felt good to buy from the local dealership I've always gone to.

Is this the msrp before the $3000 price hike?

I actually test drove a used 2012 audi s5 with the v8 before the vette. Beautiful luxury car, but after experiencing the corvettes ferocious thrust, um, it's just too hard to seriously consider a slower ride.

I'm just a poor truck driver living in a studio apartment, but at 56, I know what's important to me. I'll sacrifice a few things for what I love, and that has always been my daily driver. I'm excited to start this new era, a new vette, America's best.

What other right away accessories would you guys recommend besides a rear hatch cargo cover?

Congratulations! It's great to have a dream come true. You definitely got the old price before the MSRP increase, so the $700 over list you paid would have been $2000+ higher if you'd of waited on the same car and options. Getting the tele wheel in the base car is icing on the cake.

"Blue collar," white collar, "poor truck driver", etc. What's it matter? The car's gorgeous in that Cyber Gray, and since you bought it, you couldn't have made a better choice! Enjoy it!

Level6,
I agree it's an awesome car, and my C7, scheduled to be built next week is also Cyber Grey.

I ordered that color not only for the reason you stated, but also because as shown in your two photo's it is many different colors depending on the lighting. Just a very cool color.

As for add-ons, I would definitely go with the splash guards, and I would go with a Cargo mat. The cargo cover we have had in three Jeep Grand Cherokee's always lives in the garage and never gets used.

Good luck, and enjoy.
