How much are you paying for insurance?
I just got insurance for my 90 ZR-1 at $561 for 6 months at Progressive. This made me curious as to how much insurance is for a brand new Vette. So how much are you guys paying for insurance?

ps - My comments are not meant to be smart towards your question, but there are sooo many variables in arriving at a premium that the answers you get will not mean anything.

You can't really compare insurance with other people - there are too many factors:
WHERE YOU LIVE - WHICH STATE, CITY OR SMALL TOWN
HOW MANY MILES PER YEAR
DRIVING RECORD
SINGLE OR MARRIED
HOW MANY DRIVERS
AGE OF DRIVERS
ONLY CAR OR MANY CARS
PRIMARY CAR OR PLEASURE CAR
ETC.

this question has been asked many many times. it is useless, unless you are comparing apples to apples--how many drivers, their accident record, their ages, how many cars, what cars, what are the limits of liability you are purchasing, are you purchasing coverage for underinsured/uninsured drivers who are at fault for hitting you, are you buying the full tort option, what is the value of your car(s) (a 2014 mercedes s-class is going to cost you likely 3 times that of a 1995 ford, regardless of liability limits), are you buying replacement value option, and so it goes.... if someone is using the answers to this question, as posed, to determine which insurer is cheaper, they are woefully misguided as to how life on this planet really works. i paid $1,600 to add the vette to my coverage. there, now you know absolutely nothing about how my rate compares to yours.

AAA
65 YRS old
Perfect driving and credit
About $900 per year
5K miles per year
California
2 cars insured + Homeowners Ins
2 Drivers
Still waiting to buy but AAA ran the numbers for me. I know I can do better
with another carrier. Almost the same as my 2013 Infiniti G37S.

I found that collector car insurance is much cheaper if you can promise Hagerty, NCM, etc. that you will only drive the car less than 4 to 5K miles/year and the BIGGIE is that the collision/comprehensive portion is Agreed (Guaranteed) Value and not ACV.

As the above posters have stated there are too many factors to fairly compare your rates to others on a widely read forum.
Best way to make sure you're not getting ripped off is to get a bunch of quotes for your particular situation and area. As you know it's a pretty competitive marketplace.
My rates went down 10% moving from the c6 to the c7. Wow, that's cool I thought, when my regular insurance company,(Nationwide), told me that.
PS $85 a month.
