Wouldn't you know. I had to take the Corvette out for a trial yesterday even though winter still has a firm grip on Wisconsin. As I was pulling my rear wheels for another issue I noticed this scratch in the left rear caliper.

Seams that a rock got thrown around under the car and was sent inside the wheel only to get pinched between the caliper and a wheel spoke.

I took a little compound to it and some of if came out. With a little more effort I think most of it will disappear other than a nick at the point of impact. Oh well, better than on the body. Anyone know if this is powder coat or paint?

Everyone hates to get that first scratch on the car, but drive it enough and it eventually happens. Glad you were able to get most of the scratch buffed out.

It's going to get scratched if you use it and I wouldn't worry, it can always be fixed good as new anytime.

Could you just go over the rest of it with some touch-up paint?

I doubt anyone will notice. I personally don't look at the calipers.

How far up north in WI? I still go back to Hayward form Santa Barbara to Ski the Birkie(27 yrs). Hayward still has lots of snow on the ground. Not Corvette weather. carl
