Anyone find one that works on the C7? It is close to Summer in TX (Four seasons in TX are Winter, Early Summer, Summer and Late Summer ). Most of the floppy mylar ones don't work well because the visors don't go forward far enough to trap the shade to the window.
That looks like it would fit well, but it is still held in by the visors. There is a good 2-3 inches from the visor to the windshield on the C7, unlike most other cars. If that is the same floppy material as a Wallyworld mylar shade it would start to sag when it gets hot and/or broken in. May be worth a shot for "only" $39.95 though.

If I am not mistaken those heat shields are rather thick and multi-layered so I don't think they would sag like those you get from Wally World.
I have one of the Heatshield custom fit windshield sunshades. The fit is outstanding. Heatshield also makes one with GOLD metallized polyester film.
The Gold Series HeatShield material is simple and unique. A special GOLD metallized polyester film, laminated to a thin layer of closed-cell foam, with a BLACK polyester film back
So consensus is no one knows? My wife has a very stiff grey one (non-Mylar) she uses in her Suburban that would work but I think it is too big for the Corvette. I may have to "borrow" it to see. Maybe it can be cut down to fit. It is so stiff that it would just rest on the visors with no possibility of sagging when the inside gets to 140+ in the TX sun.

Not sure what kind of shades you're talking about, Joe?
I have (2) spring-loaded shades for my Mercedes-Benz sedan, as well as my HD Ford Powerstroke truck.
On my 15-year old Mercedes-Benz sedan, I had a (1) piece spring-loaded shade unit that I gave to the new owner when I gave the car away last year.
ALL the sun shades were procured from Walmart Supercenter automotive accessories sections.
I have the Apex Sunshield for my C7 and it fits perfect. It's similar to what we use in our other cars and they seem to hold up fine in Phoenix, AZ where 115 degrees in the summer is a regular event.
It's fixin' to be summer here also in Louisiana. A couple of days ago I ordered a custom fit Intro-Tech Sunshade (Part #CH-907). I haven't received it yet, so I can't give you a review.

I bet that in both those vehicles the visors, when down, touch the window or close, so they can be used to trap the shade. Not so in the C7 where the visor is 2-3 inches from the window.
I'm going to put in another recommendation for the Heatshield one. I had one that's over 12 years old in my daily driver and they fit great and are durable. When I buy my C7 it will be one of the first accessories I order.

Try COSTCO. Just bought one with side screens for $8.00. Good fit
Reach Barrier 4 ft. x 10 ft. Air Double Reflective Polyethylene Insulation Roll
Model # DD48010
Internet # 204476655
$23.36 / each Available at Lowes or Home Depot
I have used this stuff for years. It lasts forever and keeps the heat out far better then anything else I've ever seen. I use an old roll of Christmas wrapping paper to make a template on the outside of the windshield then cut the polyethylene to match. A little fine trimming from the inside to get the corners just right and a couple small pieces of Velcro properly placed to keep it rolled up and out of the way when not in use and your done. Takes me about 30 min. to make one.

I've bought a bunch of them. The nicest one so far is by Covercraft for my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It's nice, a little pricey, but nice. 43 bucks --ce

Reason: whoops, refed a non sponsoring supply place
This thread reminded me I have to get one. I just bought the heatshield one. Yeah, it's $50 after shipping but it should last a long time and not fall apart.

The visors don't need to be engaged down in either my Ford truck or the MB sedans. The spring-loaded, grey on one side, black on the other fill-up the windshield with their perimeter spring-action. The two that it now takes on each of the vehicles, is almost flush to the windshields.
These were purchased from Walmart Supercenter. I much prefer the one-piece, double circular spring-loaded shade that the old MB had - but the window shade manufacturers went with the (2) part 1/2 and 1/2 approach - instead of one BIG mylar shade.
It's a hassle doing (2) every time, but I can't always find shade - or away from the sun, so, I break 'em out at every stop I make.
