Timing is everything
I started following the forum around February and received great insight about allocations and certain dealers. I kept in contact with my dealer checking to see if the car was picked up to be built. All this time reading the forum and gaining knowledge about the system. So Tuesday I called my dealer to see where we were at and he told me I may not make the cut for 2014, their was a chance I would have to settle for a 2015.
I was price protected and didn't want to try and order from another dealer at the higher price.
I came home that night and checked the inventory from the forum dealers had the exact car with all the options and color combo, mag ride Z51, silver black interior but it was a 3LT pre price increase in stock. Since it had all the options I had chosen before I jumped on it(it was actually $200 cheeper than if I reordered the 2LT from another dealer at the new price). When I went to get my deposit back from the original dealer they finally fessed up that something special would have had to happen for my car to be built. They were very supportive of the new deal and were very happy that I was lucky enough to find the exact match. And would get my car for my 50th.
Thanks to everyone on the forum for your help, very informative and knowledgeable members!
