Just purchased the Stingray trunk liner. The top area has no real support and it appears it will sag between the plastic hold downs. Any one done this install have any suggestions?
Ours just arrived and is still in the box. Planned to install it first of the week. When I opened it, it seemed to be far too flexible. Not nearly the quality of our C6 'convertible' trunk liner. Though as is always the case, more expensive with time.
Maybe a support of some kind could be glued across the back? I'll install ours and start a thread if I figure out something that works.
First of all, why should we have to buy a liner for our trunk lid??? The whole car is finished except that area and without a liner it is ugly, with cross braces, unpainted....just an unfinished look. It is an obvious money grabber. That is not the worst of it: For $160 it is a piece of crap. Flimsy material, and you will have to get pads and velcro to keep it from sagging, especially around the edges. WORST of all is that you have to drill six holes into your trunk lid!!!!! Hope you do it right!!! Got the right size drill bit? Got a depth stopper so you don't (easlily) drill all the way through the very thin trunk lid made of some material that turns white (the shavings...put paper down and vacuum when done, pretty messy). At least the C6 trunk lid liner I had to buy was much better quality with pre-drilled holes in the trunk lid. There, I'm finished venting.

Although it was somewhat a trick to get it done right the liner matches perfect and looks great in place not cheap at all. I paid 138 delivered
The C6 liner installed in existing holes. Assumed the C7 would as well. I've got no interest In drilling holes in the trunk lid. I' returning mine. Bummer!
