We picked up my wife's C7 convertible earlier this month. What a great car. She likes it so much that she has driven it to work every day since it was delivered. I'm retired but she hasn't left it at home for me to drive yet so I haven't had any time to spend in it trying to figure things out. I have driven it a couple of times, though, and found some of her vehicle personalization choices irritating to me. The notification that you have exceeded the posted speed limit for instance.
She had a C6 before and I have a C6 ZO6. The C6 had two key fobs marked "1" and "2". Each one controlled separate driver personalization selections.
The C7 came with two key fobs also but they aren't numbered. Can the fobs be programmed to control different drivers personal preferences ? If so where can I read about what it takes to accomplish this. I have been through the manual a couple of times and, maybe I'm just dense, but I don't see where the manual talks about this.
Which ever fob enters the car through the driver's door controls the settings. I'm not sure that is true for EVERY setting but it is for most. Easy to check. Just go in with your fob and change something from what your wife has set. Then enter with your wife's fob (if you can pry it out of her hands) and see if the setting is still the same as it was for her before you changed it.
Ours have no numbers. There are several threads about this already. One of them has pictures of all the variations. Seems sort of weird that GM would do this. I didn't realize that whichever one entered through the drivers door would be the controlling one. We will check it out next time we drive it!

However you can have two that are the same number, a few have reported, mine are both 1’s....

Wow...you learn something new everyday....doesn't make any sense but I guess it's so....
Man, a notification that you have exceeded the posted speed limit. Yea that is a good one, might as well be illuminated continuously, can't believe that display is even an option.
I checked our fobs by pulling the key and looked all over them. No numbers on them anywhere.
If you pull the key, on the inside of the medal key, there is a small crevasse (don't know what else to call it) that's about 1/16" wide and maybe 3/16" long. You should see a number in that hole - very small. That's the only # I could find. Mine are both 2's.
No wonder no one could find it. It takes a jeweler's loupe to see the darn thing! And it's in the key; what's with that? It has nothing to do with how the car sees the fob.

Exactly where I have two 1's! Too bad we can't swap unless our emergency keys are the same! Both work and are separately programmable. Don't see it makes any difference if you use different key rings etc. Certainly aren't going to look here to see which key is which!.

You can set the warning for whatever speed you want. I have ours set at 16 mph above the speed limit. 17 over is the amount for go to jail speed and/or lose your license. Gives me a chance to decide if it is worth it or not for that particular time. A lot of where you are is pertinent as well!
