Default Interior trim badge option?

My car came with the "Stingray logo interior trim bade" option, dealer installed. How does it differ from the badge that's there now that says
"Corvette Stingray" with the C7 logo next to it. I paid $105 for it, I don't think it's been installed, and the dealer has no idea what I'm talking about!

Funny, I put that in my order and I was told that they can't install that during the manufacturing process but that the dealer could do it if it was in stock. I declined the option because I didn't want to slow my order down in any way.

Ask your dealer to order it and install it. You can view what it looks like on the accessories part of the Chevrolet website.

You'll generally find that parts are more expensive when purchased through a dealer

Should I expect the "dealer installed" interior trim badge to be inside the car somewhere? And I assume it's different than the stock badge that's there now?

Yes, it's different. If you ordered the Stingray trim badge it should read STINGRAY instead of saying Corvette. If you paid for it and it's not installed then they owe you the trim badge and installation. Ask them to put it in.

I've seen those-they look good. I'm just waiting for something a little more exciting to come out.

The "installation " is as simple as getting your nails behind the badge (or fish line) and pulling. Two plastic snaps, not tape, you won't break anything....push the new one on....the one I put on...(yes some don't like it,I know)...LOL

Default Some Don't Like It

Glen E

Well I like it a lot. I purchased the same emblem but haven't put it on yet (just picked up my car today). I had a '68 427 that came stock with an emblem that had similar engine info mounted on the console behind the shifter. Will put mine on tomorrow.

P.S. As much as I like it, I feel I was hosed by Chevy. It does not feel like a near $100 part.

Oh lord, absolutely, it's worth $40 at best.....the LT1 motif is carried to the outside of the car as well, the fish removed and genuine OEM LT1 goes in it's place:

I like the fish better. Anyone who knows anything about Corvettes will know it has an LT1, and everyone else will simply be confused.
