I had ordered my torch red c-7 with the exposed carbon fiber dual roofs but had to change to transparent roof only. can anyone tell me what the problem is? It has been ordered since 11-7-13 and is scheduled to be built on 4-14-14. I am almost scared to think about ordering the z-06.

Congrats on your order!

There are still constraints on the dual roof option and that's why you needed to change that so your order didn't sit in limbo any further

Oh... and nothing personal but I prefer the Long Ranger

Love the transparent top, but anxious to see if any of the Corvette stores will have a liner for summer. Had a transparent roof on the C6 and it got kind of hot sometimes!

Both of the dual roof options are on constraint - 20%. No constraints on any of the individual roofs.

Congrats on your order! Believe or not, you have rec'd a blessing in disguise. Unless you are a real fan of the painted roof, the 2 roof option is a waste of money. My C6, which I had almost 6 yrs, had the 2 roof option. I had the dealer put on the transparent roof when delivered and the painted one never went back on the car. The 2nd roof was always under the bed or in the way in the garage. Also, you have to keep the damn thing wrapped in blankets to protect it...PITA.

Protection from the sun/heat can be achieved from the after market headliners which will soon be available for the C7. I drove my C6 for almost 6 yrs in FL & TX heat up to 105 deg and the cabin was never uncomfortable using the head liners. Until the headliners are available, the Walmart sunshade (mentioned above) should cover you (pun?).
