Nope, pickins are slim on the lots right now. Even the big forum dealers are running the lowest number of in-stocks units ever. I checked Crisswell a week or so back and if I read it right, he had something like 18 in stock (that's r.e.a.l low). They must still be selling FAST....
How many unsold C7's are at the thousands of dealers besides Crisswell? Dealer in a little town of 8,000 about 35 miles from me, in the middle of nowhere has two Z51's in stock. Dealer here in town has 5 C7's in stock including a Z51. I live in a very rural part of the country where pickup trucks rule, yet I can go down tomorrow and buy a new Z51 off the showroom floor, including the "rare" Premier edition.
Over 1000 more Corvettes sold in March over February yet falls out of the top sellers list. How does that happen?
Not hard to understand at all and not a bad thing. For example, Honda sells 350,000 Accords each year built in its Maryville, Ohio plant, and 1.2 million total vehicles in the United States. So 1000 more Corvettes in a month is like one day's worth of Accords. And its similar with many other new models which have been introduced recently. The Corvette is a low volume production model, even in its best years.

I see that but how was Corvette one of the highest when they sold less cars
in January and February respectively.
Even giving the C7 the benefit of the doubt and not including C6 sales, they have recorded ~16,640 in sales and have built a little over 21,000 so far. All those extra unsold cars in the dealers showroom's helped sales last month to the walk ins, and more aggressive pricing.
The average built to customer delivery time for ordered customer cars is 4 weeks, and since they are building about 800 cars per week, that accounts for about 3,200 of the 4,500 - the remaining 1,300 are dealer inventory, which isn't a huge amount.

You are assuming that 100% of the 800 cars built each week are presold, which is not true. What percentage of those 3200 cars are being ordered for dealer's inventory because the dealer doesn't want to lose an allocation because he doesn't have every car he has allocations for presold?
I know this has nothing to do with the topic. But I'm trying to determine my build date and I think it is in the middle of Feb. My build number is 15,639. Can you tell me if that is close to yours.
Thanks in advance.
I don't know if this is the same on the C7 assembly line, but one of the cool things about the C6 was in the passenger front wheel well above the tire at 12:00 the build date is clearly marked in a white grease pencil, along with production worker's initials. This is marked as the car is being built on the line.

Also, can't wait for the new C7z to come out so it drives the current used C6Z prices into the cellar so i can buy a new cheap beater for the track.
C6 Z06 prices have already taken a serious hit because people that are interested in buying a used one are factoring in what it will cost them to upgrade the engine when they are handing over the money to the Z06 seller, as they have heard about the LS7 problems, that has nothing to do with the C7, but with the LS7. When that new C7 Z06 comes out at $80,000, think about what is going to happen to the value of the tricked out C7 that you paid $75,000 for.
