Wow! I am only using quick detailer when the luster needs refreshing. The paint is clear coated and really doesn't need much maintenance to look good. Save the money for the next new Corvette.
If you don't have the time or knowledge to do it yourself, then I think this is well worth it. CQuartz Finest is one of the best coatings you can get (better than their regular version which is what I use).
Don't waste your money - buy a spray bottle of Meguiar's Quick Detailer at your local parts store. Less than 10 bucks out the door, and a 15-minute job at most.
You're getting a lot of conflicting information that is comparing apples to oranges. A quick wax/quick detailer will leave it looking good for a week. It will then wear off. The CQuartz is more permanent. As Glen said, you're paying to polish all the fine swirls/scratches out of the finish, then seal it in and add a harder than clear coat finish.
$600 is a fair price and was what I was quoted also for Opti-Coat. These products are far superior than what you buy at the local auto parts store, and will leave the vette looking great for years with just regular washing.

What is the hardness value for C7 clear coat vs CQuartz and Opti- Coat?
It's very easy to make claims, but they need to be supported by imperical testing.
Give us some numbers to compare.
