Default have you driven topless?

in the northeast here, the weather has not been particularly conducive to removing the top on our coupe (or, putting the top "down", and letting it loose. definitely looking forward to summer to have the experience. for those of you who live in a more user-friendly environment (or, assuming, like myself, you are not a member of the polar bear club), whats it like? can you please comment on the impact on ladies hair, e.g., how windy is it--windows down vs. up; ambient noise level, exhaust vs. wind; turnpike driving vs. around town driving; ability to hear radio; other things that you think we d want to know about. thank you for any participation in this thread.

I have driven on Interstate 40 without the top on at about 80mph for about 200 miles. A lot less turbulence in the cockpit than my C5 and I had no problem hearing the radio. I had the windows down the whole time. I was pleasantly surprised.....
EDIT: My wife had her hair in a pony tail and she had no issues either.. It was her idea to take the top off..

This weekend it was in the lower 50's (still cold (almost average), but what the hell), and so I had the roof off for a couple of drives.
Up to about 65 mph it is not bad wind or noise wise (at least for shorter trips) - better than my C6 was; but above that speed (lets say we had it up to triple digit speeds) it gets very loud and tiresome.

I love it with the top off and windows down, but have only done this around town and on back roads. I think the freeway would be way too noisy. One caveat - the sun does get in your eyes so have a hat or visor. Sunglasses by themselves don't work.

My first car with the targa top.

Drove around yesterday with top off and with temps in high 40s, sunny. Got a sun burned face, but had a blast. Loved it.

Best way of describing it is that it's as close to driving a convertible without actually having a convertible. Living in So. Cal, I've had the top off several times. In fact, I will probably take it off before I head home today as it will be in the upper 80's. Women tend to prefer pony tails in convertibles and this car is no different. I would not call it noisy. It's more like harmony. The sound of the window backed up by the howl of the exhaust when you get on it. Music to your ears! That said, the amount of wind in the car with the top off and windows down is actually rather negligible. In fact, it's not bad at all.

Pretty windy in the coupe and I have owned an S2000 for years. Its just different I guess, the wind seems more bothersome in the C7, also the visors bug me with the top off, they just seem really in the way. A lot of the wind noise can be thwarted by rolling the windows up, but not all the way up. Like 3/4ths of an inch from the top is the sweet spot. With them all the way up the buffeting gets really bad at higher speeds.

It was 46F here yesterday and the top was off for a 30 minute drive with my 5 year old... it was a ton of fun.

Had my top down yesterday morning when I left my house at 7am with 30 degree temps, windows up and being dressed right makes it all good. First voyage for me this season, the old 427 ran like an angry ape! lol

Had it off most of Saturday and Sunday. It was easy after the first time getting it off and replacing it. It wasn't a hassle to do it when I parked it downtown. Happy with my decision to go with the coupe. Wind wasn't extremely bad with both windows down either. Usually my wife wore a hair tie in the vert but I guess she didn't feel the need and wasn't completely wind disheveled.

Haven't had my top off yet, but only have 200 miles and a 1 week anniversary coming up.

My C5 was a convertible and I enjoyed having the top down anytime between about 70 and 90 degrees. I bought the Coupe this time for a change the looks, and more carrying capacity.

I have in the past had a 1970 & 1975 Corvette with T-Tops and don't recall any severe wind problems. Can anyone add a comparison to the C3 Coupes?

Expect to get some topless time this coming weekend.

If it gets to 60 degrees, the top comes off for short trips. Above 65 degrees, definitely!

I have had my C-5 for 14 years now still have her.Only took the top off maybe 12 times.

My C-7 is 3 months old now, this car looks real good with her top off.Retired now so will not have to deal with the stop and go traffic in the DFW area,so the top is coming off as the Dallas area weather is becoming nice"about time".R

I'm still waiting for a 60-degree day with reasonable winds.
