How long does it actually to assemble a Corvette at the factory under normal circumstances?

Thanks teejake. I figured it would take about 2 to 3 days. Hopefully mine is built on a Monday.

I'd say Tues - Thurs would be about perfect...that avoids to rush to get out for the weekend and also the Monday morning hangovers

Mine hit both of the above

All kidding aside, I highly doubt it matters due to all the QC processes.

Boy, would my guess have been off the chart. I figured that they came off the line much faster than that. "How it's made" does it in <10 minutes!

Always learning!

On January 21, 2017, I'll change my avatar. I might do it on Nov 2, 2016 if I feel up to it.

I thought I read somewhere on this forum that it took 1.5 days to build a C7.

I tried to follow the Chevrolet order tracker, and also get updates from Chevrolet Customer service when my car was being built. But I wasn't fast enough.

My TPW was 3/24, and the car was finished on 3/25. So did they start it on Monday 3/24 or before?? I don't think there is anyway to know for sure.

But what I do know is it showed up at the dealer in North Carolina at about 8:00 PM, on Thursday night 3/27.

Holy fast track Batman, I sure wasn't ready for that and it took me until Tuesday to get my finances in order and pick up the car.

It is an assembly plant so it would be very hard to know when the subassemblies that make up most of the car were built before being shipped to the plant. They could have been built on a Monday, Friday or even worse a Saturday or Sunday.

It's weird, I've seen all around here and on tv that it takes 3 days, however, NCM told me it's 1.5 days, so who knows!

Depends on what start means. If including body paint etc about 22 hours, or three days. If not including paint, then 1.5 days.

That is what I have long been told and what was said during the tour this morning.
