For those who have bought from Kerbeck, what are their Doc fees?

Kerbeck's fees are $539 - that doesn't include DMV.

Since they sell more Corvettes than anyone else, they must be doing something right. It's a high quality buying experience is what I've been reading on the Corvette Forum for years. I wish I lived closer to them, I would have bought from them.

In my opinion, dealers can charge whatever doc fees they want as long as they are fully disclosed up front when a vehicle is quoted so that the buyer can add that to the bottom line for bid comparisons. Those fees seem to high to me but if the car price quoted is rock bottom, then so be it.

We live an hour north of Atlantic City, but travel 5 hours to deal with Tommy Jr @ MacMulkin. This man is unlike any other in the car business.

If you ask for quotes and make your offers on the basis of an "out the door" price you don't have to worry about any of that crap. This approach makes all deals comparable and instantly takes away their stupid shell games. JMHO.

In New Jersey we have this tax...

New car dealerships are responsible for collecting a 0.4% surcharge on the sale of new passenger vehicles, light trucks, SUVs, or vans for which either of the following conditions apply:

1) The gross sales/lease price of the new vehicle is $45,000 or greater, before trade-in, manufacturers rebates, or additional Person(s) with a disability driver adaptive equipment

2) The new vehicle has an average EPA mile/gallon (city and highway) rating of less than 19

Cannot avoid it!!

I don't know anything about the fees being waived for forum members.

I do think their fees are excessive. They were fully disclosed all thru the deal but I didn't pay attention til I picked up the car. I wasn't going to make a big deal of them at that point.

Next time I will ask to have them waived. If Dave says no, I will figure it out when it happens. Not sure what I would do.
