Heated seats
Not sure if the heaters are working right. They seem to be heating in just the lower back on the top seat half and weak at that, on full blast. The lower half, seat base does not heat at all. Is this working correctly?

Seat Heaters
The seat heaters in my 2014 are marginal at best. Takes forever to heat up and then they are just barely warm. The heaters in my old c6 would burn you out in a couple of minutes. I am told the heat pads are much different in the c7 to accommodate the seat air conditioning (which is also marginal). My friend just got his 2015 and says the heaters work fine. I wonder if GM changed the heat pads from 2014 to 2015. Looks like I'm just stuck with poorly engineered product! :-(

The video states they used Lear seats made in Italy. That plant also make seats for Ferrari. Guess it doesn’t get as cold in Italy!

Just used the heated seats last weekend. Time to heat up was ok, after a short period lowered the heat selected to one bar. I'm satisfied, vin #22487

Car & Driver has a great YouTube video about the C7 vs C6 seats. Here are 3 pics that I clipped from the video that show what I believe causes the problem. The added seat cooling uses a thick perforated mesh directly behind the leather. It insulates the heating elements! I find the seats do get hot and I have to reduce the amount (on 40 F days in SC, have not had the car out at 30 or below.) But it takes about 10 minutes to get that hot and at least 5 to feel they are getting warm!
