Okay, I rarely post. Hopefully this picture will upload properly. I walked out of Reliant Center yesterday while the Mecum Auto Auction was still in progress, when I saw this beauty of a C7 parked nearby.....and I noticed the 427 emblem on the hood. I'm assuming that someone is just fooling around?
I say poser.....besides the fact there is no 427 for the C7......yet?
Maybe the owner is related to this guy
It is a Z51 car. It is the Premier Edition Coupe which were all Laguna Blue and all equipped with the Z51 pkg and those torque type chrome wheels.
But...it sure ain't a 427!

Thanks for posting, it is amusing. I think, (hope), he's just trying to be funny and not take things too seriously. 427 has some cachet to it and sounds better than 378?

Love this, "Not even a Z51", as if the Z51 has or would have a different engine. It is a Z51 and most likely merely an emblem rather than an aftermarket modified 427.

So the "Premier Edition" that was sitting in my dealers showroom in green was a forgery?
Looking closer, I believe you're correct, it is not a Premier Edition Z51 as I do not see the slotted rotors and the wheel spokes are not as flared or as wide as the Chrome Premier Edition Wheels, as seen above.

From: Calgary, AB. There's a reason why white was the only color offered on every year Corvette. Proud Canadian German Jamaican!

I was thinking the same thing, that's like saying "it's not even a 3LT".
