Chuck cow magic
Had Chuck COW Tune my 2014 TR Z51 Convert. at The Spring Corvette Expo. Findly got test it on a long trip. Last Friday we left from east Tennessee heading to Louisville Ky. Heading up 75 set cruise on 76mph had tour mode on and car running great. Got to Louisville and checked to see what the mpg was 27.3. Ran around and did what business that we had to do. 10 hours later started home. Ok when Chuck was at the expo he went over how the C7's programing works. There are three modes A,B and C modes. A mode is for the Winter,Eco and Tour Driving Modes. B is for Sport Mode and the Track Mode is the C mode. Now he tune my C7 so the A mode has a stock fill with some minor adjustment (NO COW BOOSTER). The B and C Modes all out tune. We started back to home. I put the Vette in Sport Mode. COW BOOSTER,ENGINE and TRANS Tunes. Car very is quick in these modes (B and C Modes). Set cruise to 75mph and started home. Got to Frankfort Ky. wife fell asleep and I turn up the cruise 85mph. She woke up three hours later we where back in Knoxville. This what surprised me I looked down to check what kind of mileage I got 29.9mpg. I had gained 3 mile to the gallon and going faster than I had on the way up to Louisville. What every magic he does with his Tunes and COW BOOSTER I'm in favor of. Who's every think of getting a tune call him up.
Thanks Chuck Cow for thanking the time spent with me and the Tune you put in my car.

He sell a handheld called an Auto Cal that will let you load and save your stock tune. It also lets do all the logging too. Give him a call he will answer all of your question. 914-332-0049 (Chuck).
Which way was the wind blowing. I make the same 500 mile round trip often. The prevailing wind means I always get better mileage one way then the other. Often a 5 mpg difference. Going east with a 15 mph tailwind at 75 equals 60 mph in aero drag. Coming home at 75 equals 90 mph with the same wind.
Also elevation change can easily go unnoticed. To test my MPG I go 20 miles one direction and the same back and maintain the same speed. One direction always requires more throttle than the other....even a tiny difference can make a large impact on MPG.
My experience with tunes is that you aren't going to affect mileage very much (ie. almost 0 change) with calibration vs factory specs.....How you drive will affect MPG 100x more.
