The 2015 Corvette Z06 Convertible wearing Laguna Blue was spotted unloading at the Jacob Javits Center in NYC for this week's auto show.

Yeah, that's not the most elegant of items.
It also appears the top of the fender extension hangs out over and well past the top of the tire, giving the top of the tire the appearance from the side of being well in-board. Kind of a strange sideways eyebrow look.
Car overall is a looker, tho.

I love the car overall and consider it a very desirable piece, but that fender treatment looks tacked on. Hard to figure why they didn't integrate it better because with the larger engine compartment vents it's already a different fender piece than the base model. Maybe that extra extension piece is only part of Z07? If so and it's strictly a functional high performance part rather than show business, then maybe you have to cut Chevy some slack.
