Default Tire pressure sensor

When purchasing a new set of wheels and all season tires for winter driving. Do I purchase the tire pressure sensors from GM?

I got mine from west coast corvette. They do not come with the nuts though which you will need.

one more thing, i learned the hard way( dont ask!) the car must sit for at least 20 minutes shut off, then drive a few miles and then the car will read the new/ changed or moved sensors. every time you take a tire/ tires off and on. the best way i can say it is the car must go to sleep for 20 plus minutes, before it will read new/ changed/ moved sensors. dont forget the 5 miles ride also, they will change reading one at a time as you drive down the road. its easy- i made it sound hard, lol
