I have a Z51 with the NPP option. Once I figured out how to do it, I turned off the sound management and normally manually shift my auto.
Question, as much as I like the exhaust notes (reminds of the 67 with side pipes) has anyone ever been stopped for loud exhaust????????
Solely for exhaust, not as part of an exhibition of speed or speeding stop.
The factory exhaust would not be above allowed noise levels... after market exhausts or otherwise changing the exhaust may cause a problem.
The NPP is actually not that loud on a relative basis. I would even like it a wee bit louder. I think the exhaust on a C63 is a bit louder if you ask me.
Some communities will frown upon and cite residents for loud exhaust. Had that experience myself some time ago (Florida-again), but never had a problem out on the streets.
My neighbors (some of them are members of the condo association) joke with me that my vette must have a loudness button
As I leave out early, I try to start up on Touring mode to give them a break. They are great guys and a few are Corvette owners. They love the amped up sound.

I have a Harley that I'm pretty sure is louder than the C7 with the NPP option and have never been stopped. I will be picking up my C7 from the museum on the 1st so I will let you know how it compares.
When I get home from work I turn the NPP off so that I don't wake the neighbors when I leave at 7 am. Once out of the neighborhood it's back to Sport mode for the sound. I don't think it is too loud, IMO it is just right. Even my wife hasn't complained so it can't be that bad.

I was at City Hall in my town the other day. Pulled in and parked in the police station lot with NPP in "sport" while several officers were present out in the lot. No ticket, but later that evening the Police Chief did ask me how much power my new car has.
(not sure if it increased or decreases my chance of getting a ticket being elected to the City Council, but I am always very careful not to speed in my own town.)
A few years ago, some concerned citizens did raise the issue of perhaps we should more strictly enforce our noise ordinance, but that was quickly voted down. We are a "recreational" lake community, and boats, bikes, snowmobiles, 4-wheelers, hot rods, and big trucks all with open pipes are part of our way of life here. My Corvette with its NPP is actually kind of on the tame side.
