Default Personalization - Auto Memory Recall

My owners manual says that "On some vehicles" I can select Auto Memory Recall "On - Driver Door Open" or "On - At Ignition On". My personalization menu only gives me the option of Off or On. If "On", my car recalls the seat position when I open the door. This doesn't work very well for me because I'm short and it makes it hard to get in. Does anyone have the "On at ignition on" on their menu?

Mine was on or off, too. 3LT M7 Z51 Coupe.
Being short also, it was a PITA.
I turned the easy exit on and the auto recall off.
Now the seat stays back for entry, but then I have to hold down a memory button to move the seat up before I start the car.

PITA? Mine is also a 3LT Z51 Coupe. What's M7?

M7 is a POS for seat recall. It works perfectly in the A6.

Elmer

The A6 is easier to start with the seat back. Us short guys have to move the seat up before starting an M7. I've gotten used to it, but my 427 Vert is one push, the Stingray requires holding the button.

GM needs to rethink the way it works.

I have both auto exit and entry turned on in my M7 Z51

1) Enter car
2) Press and hold memory button (I use 1) until I can depress clutch pedal
3) Let go of memory button and start car
4) Press and let go of memory button

Voila.....

Ken,
Both the OP and I had the problem of the seat moving up when the door was opened with the auto recall on. We had to turn auto recall off and use the memory button for recall.
