Default Have a dumb question...

When I was getting familiarized with my new Stingray I checked where the battery was and noticed a styrofoam lid over it. This lid has a recessed area and also the owner's manual shows it as well. My question is, was there supposed to me a ratchet tool in that recess? Because, if there was then someone either forgot or stole mine.

No, that is for the towing eye bolt that does not come on domestic Stingrays.

Nothing is missing, that is where they put the tow hook for the European vettes, not included in US vettes.

Lots of info on the Forum about the 'hole" but may not be so easy to find. It is for the towing tool that is included with European models. We not only do get one and there is no threaded boss on the back frame in US models! Won't help if they included and we had the female treded boss, since tow truck drivers wouldn’t know what to do with it!

I thought that recessed area on the battery cover was to store the gas funnel?

More like an extension tube than a real funnel.
