Train location GPS
How are some of you guys being able to locate where the train is? How are you getting the train information for that? Also what number do you call when you get that information?
I am on the train that left OH for California two days ago.

It used to be possible to get the ETTX number (rail car number) from GM but recently it seems they're not so free with that info. But it would be worth contacting them at their 800 number and try.
If you get it, there's an 800 tracking number for both CSX and Union Pacific where you can get the current location. Once the train reaches the Chicago area, the car is handed off to Union Pacific for the trip out West
