Default Tips for Spring Mountain

Heading to Spring Mountain next week. Any tips on where to eat, or anything else to maximize experience?

Thanks

I'd like advice as well, heading there in June. Staying at their Condo's Sunday night and Monday evening. Already purchased my GoPro and some driving shoes.

Been there, done that.

Yelp will have your best options. Be aware some places are closed on certain days. Since you'll be driving C7s with comp seats, no need for knee pads. The seats will hold you well enough. Great facility. You"ll have fun.

#1 suggestion: Stay in the condos at the track.
The instructors will give you tips on the best restaurants.
Other than the small casinos, there isn't much to see or do in Pahrump.
No sweat, though, you'll be so tired at the end of the day, you will want to relax.

Just a tip concerning "Driving" shoes. My wife and I bought wrestling shoes for about forty bux a pair. Hell of a lot cheaper than Pilotis at a hundred per pair. Very light weight, very thin sole to give you good pedal feel, etc. Any sporting goods store should be able fo fix you up.

Or collapse.

The regimen will take it out of you - it's very demanding, both physically and mentally.

Symphony's is probably as nice a restaurant as you'll find in Pahrump. Very good food - I've never had a bad meal there. Plan to make reservations ahead of time and clean up a bit before you arrive (leave the cut-offs and the STP t-shirt at the hotel). Bon appetit !

Absolutely agree. A bunch of us went there after class in 2008, and it was very good!

We'll be there next week too, for a return visit. I assume you're doing level 1. Make sure you do the 3rd day if you aren't already signed up for it. They will let you add it, if you aren't already in it.
As other's have said, the food selection in Pahrump isn't great, but you will be plenty tired at the end of the day, and probably won't care.

I didn't see it specifically listed anywhere, but are short pants OK? I know they supply helmets, but I didn't see much about clothing requirements.

Thanks,
Rusty

I called them and they told me shorts are fine. Dress comfortable. Wishing I would have gotten driving shoes now. Leaving tomorrow so it's too late.

Thanks. I think they sell some driving shoes there, so you may still have the option to get some.

Have fun, and give us the full report when you get back. I'll be there in a few weeks.

Cheers,
Rusty

True...with my VY I'm tempted to get these, but they don't have my size...

Would I be harassed for wearing shoes with Ferrari on them?
