My car,#22487 has almost a perfect paint job in Night Race Blue. Really pleased after hearing the various discussions about inferior paint jobs.

The love is here to stay. I don't think it is a trend. And I happen to like them!!!

Because the black wheels ROCK!

If you've seen a Ferrari, Lamborghini or Porsche recently it's not just a Vette thing (actually we are last to the dance), but it's here to stay. Honestly I get more compliments on this car and these rims then I can count.

Really hope you are right about the 18/19 inch Motorsport Design wheels. Different base model and Z51 designated wheels are called "options". The Motorsports Design wheels are designated as "accessories", and they're not base model or Z51 specific. So it is not clear from the new wheel chart what sizes the Motorsport Design wheels will be offered.

Compare the sidewall on the base wheel and motorsport wheel. That's a 19" on the front.

Yeah, I noticed that too, which is why I will be surprised if the Motorsport rims fit the non-Z51 tire size.

Well, I for one am quite happy that in the end, I did not wait for the 2015.

Like so many others, I thought I might wait and see what the COMPLETE 2015 info was going to be before I took the plunge and purchased a new C7 Stingray. I thought like many others, the full 2015 info would ABSOLUTELY be available during the much heralded "bash". What a disappointment!!

Now, all I am reading is some fairly lame general info about colors, etc, nothing about option packages, or PRICING (to include the new A8 auto trans).

So, I guess the 2014 convertible I just purchased at $6,000.00 below the pre-price increase (or $8,000.00 below the current price) will just have to do and I will not worry about silly specifics like the A8 vs the A6. Even if the A8 gets two or three MPG better, I would have to drive quite a distance to appreciate the $8,000.00 or better increase the 2015 with the A8 would have cost me.

I am guessing that some folks still on the fence are now understanding the same thing. My advice is go ahead and get one now, the 2015 is probably NOT the better value.

Determining "value" is subjective at best. One thing is that is most likely, though, is that the 2015 will be the better car to some degree.

There's always a better car next year. By that logic, you would wait forever.

True, but the second year is usually where the most of the initial first year flaws are addressed.....but I hear ya. I'm looking strictly for the Z06 and there's no way I'm going to be able to wait for the 2016 MY.

It's really a win-win for all of us. The 2014 is still the same car it was before the 2015 was announced, so no reason for buyer's remorse if u bought a 2014. And for those of us that opted to wait, we will get some welcome changes. As for value, it's more of a wash given the later model year of the 2015. But for me, if I'm spending $65,000, the most important thing is getting what I want, regardless if it costs a few grand more. I was going to get the M7 if I got a 2014, but the A8 has won me over. I know I'll miss the manual at first, but my knees aren't what they use to be, so I will be happier in the long run with the A8. And the new black machined-faced non-Z51 wheels might be a big improvement over the 2014 choices, as I prefer not to get aftermarket wheels. I expect more information will become available before the end of May when the new model year starts. So for me, it was worth the wait.

I normally do not purchase a first year production, especially after a car like the 2014 has gone through such a major make over. Well, as time went by, and I got to drive and inspect these cars up close, through some friends who purchased them already, it was very obvious to me what changes will be done on the second year will either be minor, or changes that I really don't care about. After seeing the sudden price increase a few months ago, this spurred me on to sell my 1963 SWC (as the SWC sales prices were increasing, felt it was the time to sell), and take the plunge. Knowing the flaws, and issues, I decided it was time now.

Ordered the car 31 March, and know I am expecting to pick the car up at the NCM late May or early June. Yes I got black wheels, because of the simple reason I never had them before and would like to see what its like. If I don't like them, I simply buy a set of chromies, big deal. Life is about experiencing and trying different things, and besides I think they look great on a Torch Red Corvette.

Do I miss the 1963, not really, as the car sat in the garage like a piece of furniture and was only driven to and from shows, plus I had no ambition to bring it to the next level (Bloomington Gold) after it took three top flights. The person who I sold it too, will take it to the next levels, and he emails telling me how much he is enjoying owning it, so it was the right thing to do, as I made another person very happy.

What did become very apparent is knowing I will be driving one of the best Corvettes made, able to drive it anywhere, and most of all, putting the FUN Factor back into owning and driving a Corvette without worry of who is going to steal a part off my vintage Corvette, paint chips, body damage, and the list goes on.

I am enjoying the journey and the anticipation of picking up the new Corvette. I have something really big to look forward too. I spend hours planning the modifications, and purchasing various parts I plan to put on the car once I get it. But most of all, I paid for the entire car cash, since I sold the 63. NO CAR PAYMENTS AT ALL. Sure I have the people who say you will lose money on devaluation of the C7 while your SWC will increase, but you cannot put a price tag on happiness.

In a nutshell, I am glad I got on board and decided NOT to wait, and get a 2014. Sure the 2015 will offer a little more, and fix some of the flaws, but consider buying latter in the model year, most of the flaws are being fixed at the factory. I can attest to this having owned a 1963 as it was a constant fix during the entire model year. By the time the 64 was produced most of all the flaws were fixed on the 63s, making the late produced 63s a much better car than the earlier product year cars.

So I sit excited to anticipate the trip to the NCM to pick up the Corvette, counting the days, reading all the posts here to learn more about the car, knowing the decision I made to purchase the 2014 was the right one for me.

Future color from the design seminar: Daytona Sunrise Orange.
Not sure if that was a joke, but it was mentioned in the design seminar.

Ok, so they didn't release the actual pricing changes for 2015, but did they confirm that there will be another price increase?

Bump. I think this will be the tipping point between 2014 and 2015 and time is running out!

I've been around for a while and I must say the amount of new info announced at this years Bash is about as scant as I've ever seen.

Guess there isn't much new with the 2015's aside from the Z06 and a few paint changes.
