David,

My bad, I didn't see that thread, sorry.

As I understand it the system shouldn't even have taken the code, perhaps it did in the very short time between when the Z06 was released to ship and they updated the systems so it accepted the code. They probably got it kicked back when the system was audited which is why they changed their tune. The guy who claims to have used his authorization code should check his account on the military discount site to see if the code was actually used. I'm betting it wasn't. The comment you or someone posted from the salesman who stated its up to the dealer to honor the exclusion list is so wrong it's comical. The sad part is he probably thinks (or thought) that was true, right up the the time he didn't get his commission check because the dealer didn't get their rebate from GM.

Again, sorry about the jab.

BTW, I've been using the supplier program for going on 20 years and have purchased dozens of cars from all US manufacturers on these programs so i have a pretty good understanding of how the system works which is why I tend to chime in a lot

David, what is the new car managers name at Carl Black Chevy? I asked for Tony, and they only have a Dave and Steve. I want to ask him if they will take the discount on the Z06. Thank you

The Z06 is not eligible yet. It's controlled by GM, not the dealers sales manager but you can certainly ask.

I think it used to be called a GMID Certificate. I got a couple off this forum and used them to buy a Hummer and a Cadillac CTS. It's a very good deal. If you have a trade in, make the best deal on that first and don't mention the Certificate until after that is done.

I might do this instead, get a base or a Z51 then do one of these, really like the 708 hp one! They say you have to go to AutoNation dealer then they ship it there to be worked on, that way it's financed all at once!

I'm taking a vacation from the forum, keep getting harassed for talking and wrote up for nothing, I have disabled all PM and emails, if you want your discount I would say you need to go and get the credit union discount it's the same as mine!!! BYE

Thanks.
