Only had my order in for 10 days now so I don't feel that I'm getting the run around, But my question is when a dealer has an allocation,Is that allocation different for how the car is speced ? as in, Is there an allocation for a base model and an allocation for a z51 model ? I have pulled the trigger on a 3lt,TR,Z51,NPP and MSR. But still miss my c6.
Yes, only 50% of allocations include Z51. Some other options are even more constrained. For example, FAY (carbon fiber dash) is 20%, and both of the dual roof options (C2M, C2Q) are constrained at 30%.

So, I have a 50/50 chance each week of my order being accepted, assuming of course that they really do have an allocation ?
Depends on how many allocations they typically get in a week. If they get 3 or more, then there is a pretty good chance you will get accepted quickly (assuming you are the next in line at your dealer). If they get 1 or less per week, then it becomes unlikely (but not impossible) that you get accepted in a reasonable time frame.

As Zymurgy posted, it depends. Your dealer should be able to tell you how many coupe and convertible allocations he has left. Also, you should find out if there are any other customers ahead of you on the waiting list, and whether any of them have also ordered the Z51 package. With this info, and knowing there are about two more months of allocations left in the model year (late June allocation for production in the first week of August, which is the end of the '14 production run,) you can get an idea of your chances. If your dealer only has two coupe allocations left, and 2 Z51s ahead of you, tough luck. 2 left and no line, decent chance. 5 or more, and only 1 or 2 in line ahead of you, pretty good chance. Unless your dealer is honest and forthcoming, there is no way to really tell whether you will get your car.
We have forum dealers who will give you this info when you make your order, keeping you updated every step of the way through all the status changes.
We also continually hear about dealers who will gladly take your money, knowing they can never fill your order. When questioned, they waffle and lie, continually blowing smoke up your butt about the number of allocations they have. I have even heard of dealers telling customers that Z51 production had stopped for the year, when the facts were that that dealer wasn't going to get a Z51 allocation he had promised the customer, but wanted to lay the blame on GM.
