Default Bra's

Has anyone had a leather or any other kind of bra on their C7. I’d like to have one for long trips but somewhat worried about wearing the paint. Are some better than others?

Yes, get a clear bra (paint protection film).

FWIW: I have a GM bra that I will be putting on the car for the ride home from the dealer - 480 miles. I'll be having Xpel installed shortly after I get home.

I used a bra on our C5 and it came a little loose once and it damage the paint. So on our new C7 we had he clear bra by "Expel paint protection film" installed and are more than pleased. You cant see it unless you look for it. To me the leather/cloth bra are just butt ugly. Cost more but you only do it once.
Buy the way I did my home work and came to the conclusion that Expel is the best in the industry.

Don't use the bra - it WILL damage the paint.

You'd be much smarter to buy a couple rolls of painters tape and apply 'em before the drive home. $15 and it works fine (my drive home was 430 miles)

Just a clarification - Xpel Ultimate is the film to get. They have other lines of film, but Ultimate is the self-healing film with a 10 year warranty that even includes installation.

Xpel is the Only way to go. The leather stuff traps sand and does terrible things to paint. Looks kike cheap crap too!
If the first drive home is unprotected then just keep your distance and dont tailgate. I made it 900 miles from BG to South of Tampa with zero chips or damage to the front end. Xpel was installed the next week.

I've had leather bra's in the past and, in the hot sun they tend to loosen up and invariably do damage as they age. I had an Expel clear bra put on my C7 right after I had it clay bared and sealed, the only time I can see it is when she gets pollinated, gotta love spring.
