Can anyone tell me a step by step on how to get the 0-60 timer to work. I tried but mine never registers anything so I know I am not doing something right. I would sure appreciate this info. Thanks.
Also note, because the C7 uses an accelerometer, if you even budge a little it will start. It's not like a GPS-based device that you can move, then stop the car and start. It'll start counting as soon as it detects forward motion.

Ask me how I know it detects rearward motion also, just in case you want to do a 0-60 in reverse
No, but you can run it down a long steep hill and then post a pic of the result. Nobody would know any different.
Which is why these things are just for fooling around.
A device like a Performance Box will give altitude and slope in addition to dozens of other parameters (elevation, G's in every direction, etc., etc.). That's why it's somewhat of a standard, and why the Vbox .dba files are used for verification if you submit a 60-130 time to a site like 6speedonline.
Mine was over .2 slower when recording 0-60 times compared to my Performance Box. 48supertruck recorded a 3.8 on his DIC timer, which was likely a ~3.6. I doubt GM uses such an inaccurate tool when it reports that the C7 runs 0-60 in 3.8 seconds. It uses an accurate device like a GPS data logger.

a small, but essential action-- you have to specifically set the start speed and stop speed via the dic. i.e., you could measure the acceleration of, say, from 30 to 80 mph. if you have not already done so, do not assume it is set to measure 0->60. also, if no setting was entered by dealer, the feature may not work at all--thats what i believe happened to me.

This is how mine is as well. Were you able to get it setup? When I go to the right and select the beginning or ending start speed I'm unable to get the numbers selected using the up and down arrows. It just remains dashes.

Have to hit 'reset' until you see zeros.
I dont think it will let you do anything with the timer until the car is warmed up.

From standing start in Auto., trans. starts in 2nd gear and of course stays there to 60. Any way to start in 1st. without manually shifting?
