The sales person from the out of state dealer I purchased my vert from promised me that if the car was built or even ordered before the price increase of March 3rd I would get the old pricing. Going by the vin and what it says on tag on drivers door this car was built 2/14. But had a sticker that reflected new prices. The dealer held to their position, that was the price. I wanted to walk but, money was wired and I flew down thinking this was a fresh build. Do you think I have any leg to stand on after the fact. As you know it amounts to shade over 2100 bucks
There is a form they need to fill out and send to GM to have the price adjusted off their invoice. You absolutely have a leg to stand on. You need to hold your ground and advise them to contact their local rep as you are 100% entitled to price protection per the memo from GM.
By the way, all window stickers printed after the price change will reflect the price increase regardless of when the car was ordered or produced or whether it was presold or not. The price protection comes in the form of a rebate of sorts to the dealer when they fill out the right paperwork.

I would like to file the form and have the money come straight to me! Here in OHIO rebates are taxed.

If you didnt get it in writing, there was no promise that you can enforce....Unless the dealer decides to play nice....
Why didnt you get this included in your offer to purchase agreement?
For the price protection to apply, the car you bought needed to be a sold order, with your name and contact information and no changes made to the order after the price protection cutoff date (March 4th, I believe).
So, for example, if the car was from dealer stock (not a sold order), then the price protection does not apply.

When the sales lady said this stock number does not qualify then I assumed it was a build after march 3rd. When I started checking this car I bought it was not. At that point money had been wired and a flight had been made. A little too trusting. This widdled GMS deal down abit.

It has to be a "sold" order, if this is a lot car it would not qualify.

And the promise she baited me with should not have been made! That promise kept me from looking elsewhere for the old price.

From the sound of your posts, it's a car from dealer stock that you are buying and the price protection would not apply. You said you received the GMS discount, so you did better than probably more than 95% of all buyers already. Enjoy your new C7.

I think GM will only refund the money as a credit back to the dealer.
You need to get the dealer to subtract the price increase from the selling price before you sign papers. The dealer may have to pay the higher MSRP at first, but will get a rebate in a few weeks.
