Can someone with a non z51 auto verify that this will work and if so can you have someone video your steps in the car to share? I thought I was doing something wrong and tried again today with the same results and now see others are having the same almost stall no rev issue I have?
Can someone please post the correct steps for a non Z51 automatic?
Here is what I have tried that does not work?
In "Track" mode:
Press the traction control button twice.
"Competitive Mode" shows on the DIC.
Put car in Drive.
Press on Brake,
Floor the Accelerator and the rpm's will not raise in fact, they drop to the point of almost dying?
I have tried this in Manual Mode 1st gear also with the same result?
Am I doing something wrong or is this NOT AVAILABLE on the base automatic?

Your procedure is correct. Yes, all Stingrays, with or without Z51, or MRC, manual or automatic have this feature. Look at the attached demo by Mr. Rick Malone and JJ (Spring Mountain Motorsports). You see even with manual tranny RPM drops at take-off. Computer's objective is to get the most traction and spin the wheels a bit over that.
I have the same issue.
As I attempt the launch, the car doesn't rev up.
Instead it stays low, almost to a point where it will stall out.
I have a 3lt Automatic without the Z51 pkg.
I am in track mode and then I put it in competitive driving mode. Hold the brake down all the way and stop on the gas
Any Help Please!!!???
2LT auto-no Z51 pkg. I put it in track mode then I hold the brake down all the way and hold the accelerator to the floor. The rpms will lower to the sweet spot, release the brake pedal quickly and hold on. I have never used the competitive mode. Works for me every time. Mine will lay 8-10 ft. of rubber

I have a z51 M7, but according to this post, only use the track mode.........no competitive mode.
Those videos, especially the red one, the launch control looks terrible! I could probably get off the line quicker with my c6 on my cheap tires Haha I'll never use it on my c7 when I buy one if this is how it is.
I have the Z-51 M7.(no mag ride) After I had my ECU flashed, my launch control works. When I press the console button twice in track mode, I see a message on the tach that says Competition Mode activated.. (or something like that) But when I floor it in first gear, it revs to around 4200 rpms, I release the clutch and I sit there spinning.. smoke pouring from the fender wells. lol Not a very fast launch.
