Default Plenum Cover Removal?

Just removing my fuel rail covers and plenum cover to replace them with RPI upgrades. Can't get the wiring harness to come off - how exactly do you do that? I know, dumb question, I'm sure... Thanks for any help!

Anything more specific than "pull harder"? Not particularly useful response. Should fingers be on each side? Or over and under? Any clip or area to press, etc. needed to be done? Thanks.

Maybe I am missing something. I replaced the fuel rail covers without removing a wire harness. I put the RPI plenum cover on top of the plenum. Again, no wire harness removal.

If you really need to remove the plenum cover, the electrical connectors have a little blue slide lock. Pull the slide lock out (towards whichever side it is on) and then press the thumb button on the connector.

Thanks, Glenmcp.... just spent the last 15 minutes kicking my own a$$. Didn't look at the new plenum cover (just figured it was a full replacement, not simply a cover on the original). Have now just overlayed as you said - no harness removal necessary.

You would think that RPI would have sent instructions.

ok so you didn't need the wiring harness to come off, in which case pull harder is the appropriate answer.

the question you meant to ask was, how do I unplug the wiring harness?

you see, the plenum cover removal, requires the wiring harness to be removed from it's clipped in position. but your actual problem was removing the driver side fuel rail cover.

next time, before you deem a response unhelpful, make sure you have asked the right question.

Wow.

Not everyone knows the technical term for everything. Or even the "right" question. People come here for help, not a lesson in how much they already don't know.

Actually, I already had the fuel rail covers off, so I would say we were both sort of right. You were correct that I should have asked "how to unplug the wiring harness," and I was right that "pull harder" was likely not helpful in solving my problem. No worries from my end, just a misunderstanding of terminology, etc. Thanks for your input, and I hope that you will continue to help in the future.
