Good thoughts. Some will like, some won't.

All I actually have on the car right now are the stinger stripe and the windshield banner. By the way, I like using "stickers" initially to see if I actually like a mod or not before making it permanent (if it's something that can be painted, like the stinger stripe).

I agree. Some will like, some won't. Some will like one thing, while others like another. I'm simply test fitting and photographing some things for my friend, Sean, from VetteFx.

Didn't you already say that?

You guys gotta read better, he's not sold on it, taking risks or anything of the sort. Sean sent him some eyes and he posted pics, nothing more.....comment on the mod, not the car or person doing it.....

Correct, Glen...it's all good...to each his own as far as mods go, and I know that's how you feel too. You're honest in sharing your opinion about mods without making people feel like you're belittling them for going with a particular mod. That's the way everyone should be.
To everyone, I don't drive or show my Corvettes because I get personal validation from people making positive comments about it. It does make me happy when people see my Corvettes and smile and want to get a picture of themselves with them, because it's making THEM happy.
I'm into personalizing my Corvette because that's just how I am. For me, this means trying things that I may or may not actually like on the car, but there are some things I can't know until I try. In the mean time, helping a friend out and giving people ideas that might fit their personal preferences seems to be a good thing. That's how I roll.
Regarding this particular mod, a recent pole indicated that 89% (241 out of 272) liked the mod.
I like it.. Not sure it would be for me but like it still the same. Just like your Stinger stripe. I love it, again not sure its for me but has been shown to a lot of my club members and they all like it.
Hey jag, Sean had told me he had just sent yours out the day before mine went out? I was just trying to come up with a way to temporarily install mine as well. I already have Xpel installed and they said they don't see anything wrong with putting them over it. I just wanted to make sure I like the look before permanently applying them. How did you chose to attach them?

I put them directly on the lens. But I don't think there will be any problem at all putting them on the Xpel, though I haven't done that myself at any time. I installed mine using the recommended soap/rubbing alcohol/water solution. Wet the surface of both the Xpel on the lens and the back of the vinyl. Wet your hands with it too before pulling the backing off the vinyl. Pretty easy to line up that way.
At first glance I didn't even notice the difference from a stock Stingray on the headlights but a second glance told me otherwise. I think it looks great. And meaner.
The Mod of the Week article has a poll which has 88% saying they are hot and 12% saying they are not. So, that puts me in the minority. I think they are an abomination.
As long as the decal matches the paint then I think it looks awesome. I saw a set on a Torch Red C7 and it did not match the paint too well so you could tell it was a mod. Otherwise I like them because it makes the car look a little like a 458 Italia. I'm gonna do the mod on my car ... oh wait I can't!
