Had to replace a rear tire.(left rear) All my other tires have "outside" written on them. The new one has "inside" written on it. There is no directional arrow on the tires. I know radials are directional so does this mean they put a right side tire on the left side so it has proper rotation? Somebody enlighten me. Is there a left and right side tire, does it matter if they rotate correctly.
is the tire aysmetric? an aysmetric tire is certainly directional. a tire being radial does not correlate to the direction of rotation.
could the directional arrows have been replaced with english? id take it back and point it out to them.

Your tire guy put the tire on backwards. It needs to be removed and flipped so the "Inside" is INSIDE...

Exactly right and goes to prove that even the simplest task can be done wrong.
Several years ago my wife purchased a new Impala and every time it rained the traction control malfunction light would come on. The dealer tech diagnosed it as a bad sensor and replaced it twice. When it happened the third time in as many months the dealer was preparing to replace a large part of the wiring harness (all of this was early in the warranty period). I contacted Chevy customer service and they got involved and quickly resolved the problem. The service rep told me the problem was the tech kept replacing the left rear sensor but the fault code indicated the right rear was at fault. They provided my wife with an extended warranty to make up for the inconvenience and Chevy corp.'s incorrect assumption that their techs knew their right from their left
