Anyone going back to C6?

The C6 is cheaper.....but we all know you get what you pay for! I would guess most people going from a C7 back to a C6 is due to the fact they bit off more financially then they can handle. But how many people are going to sight that as a reason????? It's much easier to say you like something about the C6 better.

I had 4 C6's... Base Coupe, GS Coupe, GS Convertible and the 427 Convertible. The C6's were all good Corvettes! However, I can honestly say that my Non Z51 C7 Coupe is a better car than all those were! Would not understand why anyone would go back to a C6..unless it was for financial reasons.

I've been DD'ing a C6 Z51 convertible for the past two weeks to get some miles on it and it is a great car, I've really enjoyed my seat time in it...but I won't be trading the C7 in for one It makes me wish I would have bought a C6 instead of my car prior to the C7 though!

My '07 coupe was quite customized
Ported throttle body and heads
Mild cam upgrade
Upgraded suspension including ZO6 sway bars and coil overs
CAI
ZO6 exhaust
Widebody with ZO6/GS wheels/Michelin PS
My Z51 C7 absolutely SMOKES what my C6 was. Inside, out, handling, performance, comfort, and on and on and on.....

Having gone from a Grand Sport to a non-Z51 Stingray, I can say that it is a significantly 'softer' handling car. Getting the C7 into sport or track mode to tighen up the steering and adjust the throttle response goes a long way to improving the feel, but it still doesn't feel as flat as my GS.
I'm on the waiting list to get the Z51 sway bars added to my Stingray, and expect it to improve the occasional squishy feeling.
In every other single possible way, I personally see no reason that a C6 could be considered 'better' than the C7. To each their own, and I would only fault someone for driving something they don't like.

those are the folks who never took it out of touring mode....
Here is the way I'm beginning to see things...
Touring mode - C4
Sport mode - C6 - LS3
Track mode - C7 - HE11 YES!!!!

Some people just prefer the C6 for a variety of reasons, styling among them.
The C7 was priced to be very affordable so young buyers and previous C6 owners (that's most of you C7 owners) could afford the latest generation.
I think the C7 is a great Corvette and it 's very affordable. Power wise the C7 Z51is not on par with the 427. Better interior, better technology, yes!
