Local dealers all have C7's with optional wheels so I can't personally view them. But do the C7's silver painted wheels have any "sparkle" to them or are they a solid gray with a clear coat?
Not much if any sparkle. Mine are the Z51 wheel and machined alloy. Not flashy but clean looking. I HATE chrome.

I don't have any good photos handy, just want to advise you that the base C7 silver wheels and the Z51 silver wheels are not the same color.
Base wheels are sparkle silver, they really sparkle in the sun when you're up close to them but from a distance they are a bit darker silver than the Z51 wheels.
Z51 wheels are finished in a lighter silver, no glitter but very smooth and bright.

Any good photo's would help.
Thanks in advance
Here is a close up of the standard wheel (5 spoke) on a NON Z51 car.
As you can see, there is metal flake in the silver paint.
The standard Z51 wheel (10 spoke) looks a little more "silver" than the non Z51 wheels to me, I think (!!!!) I read somewhere that the stock Z51 wheels were painted using the "Sterling Silver" paint color used on the 2007 C6 Indy Pace car models (Don't quote me on that).

You must be close Scott AFB?
I work for the United States Transportation Command at SAFB and just happen to be working 12 hour shifts. Retired 2T2 now contractor.
Since I just ordered LRG non-Z51 coupe I'm leaning towards the "understated" look.

I really like the look of the non Z51 wheel, this is exactly what I was looking for.

Not to be a bummer....but you need to confirm the Lime Rock Green with your dealer, it is discontinued for 2015 and they may have already phased it out of production (I know Cyber Gray is already gone.).

According to my dealer and a few of the CF dealers I checked with LRG should be available until the end of MY14 production. I hope they are correct.

Really?
Normally when a color is to be discontinued the following year, it is not available through the entire model year (the final Cyber Grays were built in late April).
That said, forum dealers telling you it (LRG) will be available through MY2014 proves what I know!!!

See Dave's response to my question near the end of this thread.
I have only 4300 miles on the silver painted Z51 wheels with cracked
tires. Michelin Is replacing the tires with me paying mount and balance.
I'm just taking the wheels in getting demounted. Then getting dark gray powder coat that matches the center cap which is 5-7 shades darker than the currently bright silver wheel.
The Z51 wheels are really very chipped like rash over 50 percent of the wheel because anything can chip the less
than "cheap spray can' quality paint GM used!
They went CHEAP on the wheel paint.
The paint on them is a joke. BUT Will be fine with powder coating and then darker color.
