Zurich Shield
Has anyone had the Zurich Shield put on their C7 from their dealer? The dealer is really pushing this exterior and interior protection and I am wondering if it has any merit. It claims that you do not have to wax the car and it protects from water spots and bugs, etc. It covers small tears in the leather and puncture marks as well as numerous stains. I had a C5 and had a problem with cracks in the leather. It is warranted for 7 years and costs $695. I searched this forum, but did not have any luck finding any info on it. I am skeptical and the price sounds high based on other searches I have found with this product used on other manufacturer's cars. Would love some feedback from anyone who has used it or knows anything about it. I have been waiting 4 months for my Crystal Red Coup and it looks like it will be delivered this week Thanks!

It has no merit, no protection from a dealer does...it is a simple polymer that sells at max for 30-40 dollars at a detailing site and cost 10x that from a dealer..

Glen,
At $695, if the cost of the product is $40, the dealer is charging more than 17x what it cost! Ouch. That will buy a lot of shrimp, thanks for the advice Bubba
Also, I would be afraid it would mess up the paint finish.

Don't do it. Do a search on Google or Yahoo for Zurich Shield and read the tales of woe. Don't know if the product is any good but the reviews seem to indicate when you make a claim you get the shaft.

The dealer I bought from said all of their cars recieved this Zurich Shield treatment. The extra cost was a automatic dealer add on of $295.00. It was not a given choice, kinda like the documentary, and handling fees. I can’t say if is worth it, or not? Just hope I don’t need to ever find out. LOL

If a Chevrolet dealer is pushing it, it is certainly an all but worthless money-maker for them. Count on it! Google it.
