I have had my car for about three weeks. Today it was very hot (not that this should matter).
First my iPod stopped playing. You can see the song, but it won't play.
Next my phone unpaired itself which required some horrid ritual to fix. The "infotainment team" told me to "remove the key" and open the door then close the door and re-pair.
Then Pandora worked, that is, it got connected through Bluetooth to my android phone (and it's always worked by the way), but played through the phone and not the car.
The car also reported "audio off" at one point.
The infotainment center is really slow (they must have purchased some processors from 1998) to respond, but that's the way it came.
Anyone experiencing this kind of intermittent stuff?
Not yet. So far the only weard thing I had happen was I wanted to shut off the radio and it wouldn't shut off. Finally did, then the clock appeared? Later when I restarted the car, the radio started playing? Seems to be ok now.
No issues here with the C7 audiobook. My C6 would occasionally lose the radio but be normal on the next start. Probably happened 3 or 4 times in 4 years of ownership.
This place has a lot of trolls these days who pick up on one supposed issue and love to try and rub salt in the wound. The Infotainment in mine, and my Impala with a similar interface has been flawless.

Thank you.
Hey there,
I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your Infotainment System. Have you had a chance to get this under the eye of a dealership? Please PM us your contact information, VIN, and preferred dealership name/location, if you would like us to reach out to your dealership for you. Have a great day!
I have had my car for a little less than 3 weeks and had the identical thing take place. I was talked through the same process as you but unsuccessfully. They did get the audio back but I had to go to the dealer to get my phone paired again.
Picked up my new 2014 from the dealer 2 weeks ago. The center infotainment display was fine when sitting at the dealer's as he was explaining the functions but on the way home it started acting like it was possessed after 5 miles. Would randomly skip screens from the "home" screen to "nav", to the "off" screen. Was really bummed out. Next day it acted up almost immediately on way to work but was well behaved on way home. Next trip out it did the same skipping so I made an appointment with the dealer. They call GM and was told the display unit needed to be replaced. GM shipped replacement immediately and it's still @ dealer getting replaced. Was pleased with the response from both the dealer as well as GM. Just hoping there won't be any dash damage with r&r of the unit.
I was looking for my combs and I was in a rush at that time because I need to leave and I was so annoyed because I couldn't find it but when I looked in the mirror and saw my comb in my hair and all of a sudden I laughed. Haha
You didn't say what year your car is, nor the potential condition/age of the battery. The latter is always a possible "weak link" where all the electronic gobble-de-gook is concerned.
You did not advise what year or body style you have. This may or may not apply to you but for C6/C7 owners whose batteries are 2 plus years old when you begin experiencing odd electrical issues be aware that could be an indicator of pending battery failure. You might do a search on electrical issues, your battery might even test good but still fail. Mine was completely dead a week after completing the Western Scenic Tour (3,000 plus mile car tour) and was 2 years old.
No flicker in my ‘16 1LT coupe. The screen just died. No power getting to it or my USB ports. Center stack had to be replaced. Took it to dealer on Tuesday, should have it back tomorrow.

Chevrolet Customer Care
This post had me thrown for a second, because they have not had a single thing to really contribute for a very long time. HEY! Are they starting to actually pay attention to Us?
But no. it was just another necromanced thread. Chevrolet Customer Care doesn't GAS. Heck, for all I know, they may not be allowed not this site anymore. Even when they were posting here, all they said was "Let me put you in touch in the most feel-good way with your service adviser." Every word out of any of their mouths was a poly-syllabic nullity.
Curious if GM gave up or if they got the boot from CF.
This forum has been so helpful in helping me diagnosis small problems and helpful hints. So I wanted to share this quick story about the experience I had this week with the infotainment center in 2016 2LT 22k miles daily driver. Infotainment center went completely black and nothing worked. Called local dealership in Chattanooga TN and they said it was a "known issue" with GM cars with the 6.2L engine. He said the whole screen would need to be replaced. I had planned to take it the next morning - went out to start the car and it was completely DEAD. I hooked it up the jumper cables and as charge was getting to the car - screens started to come on - drivers door was open. Once the car jumped off everything was working and still is. I guess it just needed a "reboot (one of the suggestions on this forum). Still not sure what drained the battery so I am a little nervous about that, but 2 days and all is good.
Long story longer if the infotainment center gives you problems try the "reboot" before you take your car to the folks that are supposed to be the experts.
