so whats the difference between the 2 besides the extra 4grand?
Search the forum there a ton of posts on this subject. I bought 1LT and bought some of the 2lt add on's for far less than buying the whole package. The biggest advantage most point out is the HUD, but I wear polarized sunglasses and in my other cars with HUD you can't see it with your shades on.

I too wear polarized sunglasses and I can see the HUD in my C7 perfect with them on.
Also the outside mirrors will tilt down when backing with the memory selection. Additional leather trim. Really enhances the interior. I didn't go with the Z51 option or NPP, LT2 is my must have selection along with navigation.

I thought I'd miss the HUD (had it in my 2011 Camaro 2SS) but the 8" center screen display digital readout for speed and other displays in it, are great and I don't miss the HUD at all. My experience with polarized sunglasses was that you can still see the HUD, but they definitely wash out the intensity.
The only thing I really miss (as I've said in other posts) with just having the 1LT is the Universal Remote for the garage door opener, which I'm planning to invest the $180.00 or so to get a new sun-visor with it imbedded. The other $4000 dollars worth of stuff, I can do just fine without.
The 1LT is a great value package, especially if the budget is tight. You're still sitting in coach, but not a terrible coach environment like we all have experienced. 2LT is an upgrade to business class and 3LT puts one in first class. Depends what one's budget and priorities are. After sitting in both a 2LT and 3LT at a dealer's recently, to me 3LT is an absolute must have. It really brings together the major improved upgraded Stingray interior. The other interior packages are standing short IMHO. Personally, I'd rather wait for a used 3LT if I couldn't afford a new 3LT, rather than settle for a lesser package. But that's just me.
