Default TPW 6/23 represent!

Wow, I just refreshed my dealer's page and saw that even at code 3000 I have a TPW of 6/23! I'm thrilled! Anyone else in this week's club? I'm doing museum delivery, so I guess if it's a 2 week turnaround I won't have it for 4th of July but soon after at least!

Happy dance!

26 more days to go! It'll probably get a little easier once the month rolls over to June...

I also have a TPW of 6/23, I cant wait. Laguna Blue ,2LT W/ Nav, NPP, Z51 spoiler, chrome rims. Kinda pissed i'm waiting. I've had new vettes parked in front of my desk for about 6-8 months now at the chevy dealer I work at, and have been saying I wont buy one. Now I decided to get one and I'm waiting. I've had Z51"s parked in front of my desk and now there on constraint when I ordered. The best part is GMS discount saves me $9500, and after 500 break in miles I'm get a A & A supercharger with headers ...Stokked

What all did you guys get in your orders? And did you do museum delivery?

I got:

Z51
Convertible
Black Top
Torch Red
3LT Interior
Jet Black Nappa Leather
Black Rims
Magnetic Ride
Performance Exhaust
Auto Tranny
Red Calipers
Museum Delivery

Got supplier price through my job and ordered with Dave at Kerbeck (with help from Deb, too!). I'll drive down to the museum with friend/family and then drive it home as it's probably only 3-4 hours for us.

Car will be a daily driver for me. First Corvette that i've owned, though mom had a 1974 that I rode around in as a kid. 40 years after hers was made, I got mine. I'm only in my early 30s though, myself!

I'm up for that week, too. Originally ordered Feb. 17....they put it off long enough to screw me out of the Z51 pkg...once I ok'd the order without the Z51 it didn't take long for it to start moving. Waited so long to now have to settle for a lesser car really ticks me off. Not sure I will ever be satisfied for taking a car that's doesn't have all I wanted on it............

I wouldn't call it "lesser", just like LT1 isn't lesser than LT3, it's just different

I bet that it'll be awesome and that you'll have a blast driving it! And that's what matters in the end!

If you're not gonna track the car, you don't need Z51. It just adds weight, complexity, and a longer wait for the oil to warm up. The non-Z51 has the same engine with the same horsepower.

I have a C6 Z51, which I luv, but stepped "down" to a C7 non-Z51 due to added stuff I didn't need/want. It'll still be more car than I have now.

Relax and enjoy your awesome C7.

Default Thanks for the pep talk

I really wanted the bigger wheels and tires and the black mirrors...I ordered the black rear spoiler. I just ordered the painted silver wheels and have already picked out black spyder wheels to replace the stock wheels as soon as I get it home.........

My C6 was a Z51, also....I'm glad to hear you are satisfied with the base suspension. I don't intend to track mine, so I'm I sure I will enjoy driving it regardless.....

I can't say that I'm satisfied with the base suspension cuz I haven't received the car yet (TPW 6-23) so let's just say I'm satisfied with my decision. If I'm not satisfied with the actual car, I'll add sway bars. If I'm still not satisfied, I'll add stiffer shocks.

Re bigger wheels, if you like the appearance better, OK, but the difference is slight. Bigger wheels give you a small cornering advantage, but a straight line acceleration disadvantage. They also add weight and inertia when spinning up. Their biggest disadvantage, IMO, is the increased risk of popping the bead and losing all tire pressure if you drive over a bump at an angle, like clipping a curb going up or down a driveway, which would totally ruin your day.

Methinks you done good. Enjoy!

IT'S JUNE!!!!!!!

No more months to flip over! (Until TPW at least, delivery/pickup is another story!)

Hopefully we can all get past 3000 soon! I'm ready to get insurance nailed down once I get that VIN, I've already started shopping around.

sounds like in February he ordered a Z51 from a dealer. Z51 has been on constraint for a while , some dealers had allocation for Z51 convertibles and not Z51coupes like the dealer I work for. So it sounds like he was promised something the dealer couldn't proved for him. I also wanted a Z51 couple but settled for a base coupe 2LT. For me not a big deal im getting a blower and headers 600 RWHP. I don't drag race at the strip or track my car. I just sold my 2003 Z06 560RWHP car .... i'm very excited congrats to all who are getting their cars built this month !!!!!!
